Attorney General Brnovich Secures Temporary Restraining Order to Keep Title 42 In Place

Attorney General Mark Brnovich applauds the court for granting a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against the Biden administration to keep Title 42 in place, even though it has already tried to roll it back ahead of the May 23rd deadline.

“We applaud the Court for approving our request for a Temporary Restraining Order to keep Title 42 in place,” said Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich. “The Biden administration cannot continue in flagrant disregard for existing laws and required administrative procedures.”

Earlier this month, General Brnovich filed a lawsuit leading a coalition of states against the Biden administration for revoking Title 42 during the worst border crisis in U.S. history. After the AGO learned it was prematurely revoking Title 42, General Brnovich filed a TRO.

Attorney General Brnovich will not stand by and watch the Biden administration continue to flout applicable legal requirements and limitations on DHS’s authority.

The next hearing will be on May 13, 2022.
