Nonprofits in Northern Arizona Preparing for Arizona Gives Day 2022 24-Hour Fundraising Event, APRIL 5-6

More than 1,000 nonprofit organizations across Arizona are preparing for the 24-hour online fundraising event, Arizona Gives Day, from noon on Tuesday, April 5 to noon on Wednesday, April 6. A list of participating nonprofits headquartered in Northern Arizona is below.

Early giving began on March 15 at AzGives.org, but the biggest impact will take place during the 24-hour event. Since 2013, Arizona Gives Day has raised more than $30 million for Arizona nonprofits, including a record $7.1 million in 2021.

Donors also can donate during a specific block of time on Arizona Gives Day to help a nonprofit win a “Power Hour” prize or earn additional funds from the prize pool when donating on April 5 and 6. More than $180,000 in prize pool incentives (116 prizes) are distributed based on certain categories from random drawings during the 24-hour period.Donations received on AzGives.org between March 15 and April 6 will count towards a nonprofit’s grand total.

Arizona Gives Day is managed by the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits in collaboration with Arizona Grantmakers Forum. FirstBank, one of the nation’s largest privately held banks with a focus on “banking for good,” is the presenting sponsor. Arizona Gives Day’sannual online giving movement unites nonprofits to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Arizona through online giving.

Donors also have the option of creating a fundraise page to benefit their favorite nonprofit organization. Visit www.azgives.org/fundraiser for details.

For interested donors, AzGives.org offers an advanced search filter to find nonprofits by specific criteria, area of focus, and which donations may qualify as an Arizona tax credit. Donors can either check out as a guest or create an account to set up recurring donations and make changes to their giving throughout the year.

Arizona Gives Day is not possible without the support of sponsors FirstBank, Arizona Community Foundation, BHHS Legacy Foundation, Freeport McMoRan Foundation, Hickey Family Foundation, Intel Corporation, Vitalyst Health Foundation, Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, Salt River Project (SRP), Southwest Gas Corporation, Tucson Electric Power/UniSource Energy Services and Sechler Morgan CPA.  In-kind promotional partners are Frontdoors Media and InBusiness Magazine Greater Phoenix and Phoenix Magazine.
