Superintendent John Scholl has announced he is recommending Dr. Edwin Moody as the new Del Rio Elementary School principal.
The Chino Valley Unified School District Governing Board will make its final decision at the April 11, 2022, board meeting.
“It is my pleasure to announce, after careful consideration and input from various stakeholders, that I will be recommending Dr. Ed Moody as principal of Del Rio School starting next school year,” Scholl said in a letter to CVUSD staff this week.
Moody has been in education for 25 years and is currently a social studies teacher at Sedona Red Rock High School. During part of his career, he served three years as an administrator in the Amphitheater School District (Tucson, AZ).
Moody holds a master’s degree and doctorate from Northern Arizona University in Educational Leadership.
Carolyn Reeder, the current principal at DRS, will be transitioning into a districtwide assignment to help teachers provide better instruction to our special student populations.
