Embry-Riddle Summer Camps Let Children and Caregivers Take Flight

Register Now for May 26 – Aug. 3 Camps

This summer, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will be introducing “Take Flight,” a new summer day program designed as a team experience for a parent (or guardian) and their child.

Parents are invited to take off, not drop off, as they partner in an immersive discovery flight program that provides introductory flight training in three components across four days. The program includes live flight training, classes on aviation-related topics such as weather, air traffic management and safety analysis presented in an easy-to-understand format, and simulated flight in a synthetic reality environment.

The team of one parent (or guardian) and child will enjoy dedicated one-on-one instruction in our Cessna 172 aircraft equipped with the latest advanced avionics. In addition, each team will get to try their hand at flying our twin-engine DA42 FRASCA Simulator.

Take Flight camps will run from May 26 through Aug. 3, 2022 and are available for students ages 9 to 17. Parent/guardian participation in all camp activities, including flights, is mandatory for minors to participate.
