Every Christmas season, on Wreaths Across America Day, thousands of grateful volunteers at Arlington National Cemetery, and other cemeteries across the country, place wreaths on the hundreds of thousands of graves to honor and respect our nation’s fallen heroes. Wreaths Across America Day is recognized this year on December 18th.
Unfortunately, Mr. Biden’s woke Department of Veterans Affairs may no longer continue this beautiful tradition due to unsubstantiated attacks from anti-Christian groups criticizing the patriotic work of volunteers who lay these wreaths as “unconstitutional, an atrocity, and a disgrace.” This is a disgusting sign of disrespect by individuals stomping on the memory of our fallen heroes.
In response, this week I joined my colleagues in sending a letter to Secretary of Veterans Affairs McDonough encouraging he continue to allow volunteers to lay wreaths as they have done for the last 29 years and to condemn those assaulting our collective honoring of our veterans.
