The Badgers improved to (5-3) on the season with a tough hard fought 3-1 win over the Lee Williams Volunteers. The Badger Dome was rocking as the two teams put on show in a nip and tuck affair.
This was the first region loss for Lee Williams, now (2-1) and (4-3) overall. The games were played with plenty of intensity.
The Volunteers were a very determined team in picking up the win in game one. Prescott led briefly, but the game slipped away down the stretch.
Game two saw the Badgers come out trailing early, but came back to tie the game at 9. There was an exchange of points before Prescott took their first lead at 12-11, on back to back blocks by Millie Diener. The lead grew to as much as five, before Lee Williams made put together a comeback to close within 23-22, before the Badgers closed it out with the final two points.
Game three was another close battle with the game being tied numerous times. The Badgers broke an 18-18 tie open with six straight points to go up 24-18, eventually holding on to win 25-23. The final game was another close contest, as the Badgers put a string of points together and prevailed down the stretch.
Kari Kasun, Payton Johnson, and Millie Diener all had big moments throughout the contest.
Prescott (2-2) in the Grand Canyon Region, will travel to Cottonwood to face Mingus (0-3) and (1-6), on Thursday at 6 pm.

Bradshaw Mountain is now the only undefeated team in the Grand Canyon Region, after a 3-1 win over the Eagles, in Flagstaff last night.
The Bears (3-0) in the GCR evened the overall record at (3-3), travel to Kingman to face Lee Williams tomorrow at 6 pm. Flagstaff falls to (2-1) and (4-2).

The Badgers improve to (7-0) overall and (2-0) in the Division II Northwest Region, with an 8-1 win over the North Canyon Rattlers in Phoenix.
Prescott will return home to host the Horizon Huskies, on Thursday at 4pm.
