The local chapter of Yavapai County’s Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic (ConCR) has announced that U.S. Senate Candidate Michael “Mick” McGuire will speak at their upcoming meeting this Saturday, July 24, 2021, in Chino Valley.
The regular 11 am monthly meeting has been moved to 9 am to accommodate Mr. McGuire’s afternoon speaking engagement at the Trump rally in Phoenix. The meeting is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP.
Michael McGuire is a retired Major General in the U.S. Air Force. From 2013 to 2021 he served as the Adjutant General of the Arizona National Guard, the state’s senior military official, reporting directly to the Governor. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the National Guard Association of the United States.
Mr. McGuire has deep roots in Arizona, having moved here as a youngster with his family and spending most of his life in the state when not deployed overseas. He graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1987 and spent the next 14 years piloting F-16s in a number of Mideast deployments.
After a career as a top level military officer, Mr. McGuire is making his first bid for political office, challenging Democrat Mark Kelly for the US Senate. He lists his top priorities as advancing American exceptionalism, securing the border, protecting the life of the unborn, defending the Second Amendment, and upholding the U.S. Constitution.
The Yavapai County chapter of Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic is a group of conservative activists dedicated to defending and promoting the values of representative government as set forth in the United States Constitution. The group is a private organization and is not directly affiliated with any political party. However, most members are registered Republicans or conservative leaning independents who are civically engaged or are current or former elected officials or candidates for office.
This month and in the months ahead President Dutton has scheduled conservative candidates for all top level state and national offices to address the group.
ConCR meets monthly at the Bible Baptist Church, 3490 N. State Road 89, in Chino Valley. Recent speakers include Arizona GOP Chair Dr. Kelli Ward, former Arizona Senate President Russell Pearce, and Congressmen Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs, among many other prominent conservative figures. ConCR is a membership organization. However, in the interest of informing voters about important candidates and issues, the appearances of guest speakers of high public interest are open to the public. All those wishing to meet Mr. McGuire and learn about his position on issues of importance to conservatives are cordially invited to attend. Again, please note the regular 11 am meeting time has been changed to 9 am, Saturday morning to accommodate Mr. McGuire’s schedule. RSVPs are requested and should be addressed to concr2018@gmail.com.
