Yavapai College Returning to In-Person Classes and Services Beginning June 1

Yavapai College will return to in-person classes and services beginning on Tuesday, June 1.

The move is a step forward to the ‘green phase’ of the College’s COVID-19 re-entry plan, which will bring in-person classes and services closer to a normal capacity.

YC will continue to follow guidelines from The Center for Disease Control (CDC) as it pertains to COVID-19 safety protocols. Therefore, Yavapai College has updated its safety protocols to reflect that fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear masks or social distance while at College campuses and centers.  Also, per CDC guidance, unvaccinated individuals should wear masks and social distance while on College premises to help protect themselves and others.  All other YC COVID-19 safety protocols remain in effect.

The move to the ‘green phase’ (phase 4) is the first time that YC has reached this level of its five-phase re-entry plan since the pandemic began.

All classes will be eligible for in-person instruction for the summer and fall semesters. As is the case in a normal semester, YC will deploy a mix of in-person, online, hybrid, and WebLive classes to accommodate as many students as possible.
