It is our job as a community to create an environment where children can thrive. One way to do that is by implementing community protective factors that offer opportunities for prosocial activities for our youth. Youth interacting with other youth and engaged adults in a positive environment helps connect them to their community, establish or extend positive peer groups, and build resiliency. This is an important prevention-science-based strategy for reducing youth substance use. To learn more visit https://opioidod.com/
Tim Carter, Yavapai County School Superintendent and MATFORCE Board member said, “MATFORCE is excited to partner with Prescott YMCA, Dignity Health, and Town of Prescott Valley to bring this basketball tournament to Prescott Valley. This will be a fun event for families, friends, and the entire community. Great things happen for our youth and communities when organizations work together.”
