Badgers Come Home And Beat Flagstaff 58-48

Lady Badgers have a rough night on the road

It took awhile, but the Prescott Badgers finally had a home game. The Badgers came out on fire to open a 38-15 lead, but had to hold on for a 58-48 victory.

Coach Travis Stedman said, “ It was nice to be home and get a big win over Flagstaff. We played a great first half, but struggled a bit in the second, and had to figure some things out.”

Flagstaff actually scored first to lead 2-0, but after that the Badgers kicked it into gear to race off to 35-15 halftime lead. A Prescott three pointer opened up the third for a 38-15, but after that the Eagles found some life. Flagstaff figured out that they had a 6’8” center in Nick Morrow, and he was about to be a real presence on the court. The junior scored 17 second half points, as the Eagles began to close the huge deficit.

The Badger lead was dwindled down to 51-46 with just over three minutes to play, before Prescott went into time killing mode, which eventually grounded the Eagles comeback.

Milap Owens led the Badgers with 16, Jason Parent added 13, most of those coming from the line. Prescott improves to (3-1) in the Grand Canyon region and (3-1) overall.
