Kids and adults can get crafty and chase away the winter doldrums with Prescott Public Library’s Crafts-to-Go this winter. Just drive through the library’s curbside pickup area, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and ask for your Craft-to-Go kit.  Crafts-to-Go will be available beginning on the dates below while supplies last.

For kids, preschool – age 7:

Week of January 26 – Snow Crafts. Design a snowman or create a unique snowflake.

Week of February 8 – Friendship Bracelets. Create a bracelet to give to someone you love.

For adults:

Beginning February 2: This Adult Crafts-to-Go kit includes supplies to make your own Valentine-themed string art. Follow along with the instructional video on our YouTube channel by searching for Prescott Public Library. This craft uses items you may have at home or are easy to find, so if you miss out on a kit, you can still follow along with the video.

Crafts-to-Go for kids are created in partnership with the Prescott Art Docents. In any other year, the Prescott Arts Docents would be leading programs for children at the library that focus on art education and offer hands-on experience with various mediums. While the library is closed to the public, Crafts-to-Go for kids is a way for the Prescott Art Docents and youth librarians to connect with area families that they used to see in person. “Staying connected with the community is very important to us as youth services librarians,” said Jennifer Kendall, Lead Librarian for Youth Services. “By partnering with the Prescott Art Docents in our Crafts-to-Go program, we hope to encourage our library families to continue reading and developing their imaginations.”
