Traffic Altercation Leads To Shooting in Prescott Valley

On Friday, January 8, 2021 at about 2:22 PM, Prescott Valley Police responded to a report of a traffic altercation on Robert Road.
Responding officers found that two drivers heading northbound on Robert Road got into a traffic altercation. A collision occurred, both drivers exited their vehicles and got into a physical confrontation, during which a weapon was discharged causing injury to one of the drivers. The injured driver was air evacuated to a northern Phoenix area hospital and is in stable condition at this time. The other driver is being interviewed by police at this time.
This incident is still under police investigation and no other information is currently available. Robert Road north of East Nancy Road and South of East Gale Road was closed during the investigation.

  1. Kinda wondering why the person who was shot during a traffic accident altercation was air evacuated to a north Phoenix hospital when the incident occurred within eyesight of YRMC.
