At about 6:45 AM on Friday, January 8th, Prescott Regional Communications Center started to receive 911 calls about a structure fire in the 3100 block of Willow Drive off Willow Lake Road in Prescott. The initial arriving unit on scene found a 1300 square-foot single-family mobile home that was about 30% involved with smoke and fire.  After confirming that all the residents were outside the structure, fire crews worked to extinguish the house. A total of four engines and about 15 fire personnel were at the scene with the last units leaving about four hours later. As of this press release, it is not known what the cause of the fire was and it is still under investigation.

This is a good reminder about having functional smoke detectors.  It is very important to make sure that your home has a complete set a smoke detectors placed in the proper areas. Batteries should be changed at least once a year and no better time than the holidays to give your home and your family a present. Give your home and your family a gift of safety this new year.
