On Wednesday, December 23rd at about 6 PM, Prescott Regional Communication Center started to receive multiple 911 calls about a car accident on Pioneer Parkway and Symphony Drive in Prescott. The initial arriving unit on scene found two vehicles with one that had overturned with the driver trapped inside. Fire crews were able to extricate the patient out of the driver’s door in the overturned Toyota Tacoma truck. At that point they started to render advanced life support and requested a helicopter to fly the patient to a level one trauma center. The patient seemed to have multiple musculoskeletal injuries but was awake and alert the entire time. He was flown down to Deer Valley Medical Center in Phoenix secondary to the injuries sustained in the accident. The other vehicle had only one occupant that refused transportation to the hospital. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation by Prescott Police Department.
This is a good time to remember that car accidents happen without warning. As a matter fact, most car accidents occur within five minutes of your own home. Seatbelts are not only required by law but they also can save your life.
Remember… Buckle Up. Every Trip. Every Time.
