Information regarding Trump 2020 Campaign Rally Monday, October 19, Prescott Regional Airport

The City of Prescott has been notified that the Trump 2020 Campaign will hold a rally on Monday, October 19 at Prescott Regional Airport (PRC).  Gates Open at 9 a.m., and the event is scheduled to begin at 12 noon.  For tickets and other information, go to the campaign website:  https://www.donaldjtrump.com/events/

Currently, Prescott Police and Airport staff are finalizing details about the event, including security, parking and traffic patterns around the airport.  Here is what we know so far:

-Gates open at 9 a.m.   Admissions and security procedures will be handled by the Trump Campaign.  For information, go to the campaign website.

-The President is expected to speak around 12 noon.  The event is expected to last about one hour and 15 minutes.

-Traffic patterns around PRC will be impacted.  Here is a list of expected road closures for the event:

  • Deep Well  / Janene Lane at Ruger Road
  • SR 89 at Ruger Road
  • MacCurdy at Barheart
  • MacCurdy at Clubhouse
  • Clubhouse at Wineglass
  • Cirrus at Wilkinson Drive

There will be no stopping, standing or parking at any roadside in the event area.

If at all possible, we ask motorists to avoid the airport area including State Route 89, and SR 89A beginning at 7 a.m., through 5 p.m. that day if you can.

-More details about event parking and possible traffic routes will be announced in future updates.

-This event will impact air operations at PRC.  At this time we do not anticipate the event affecting commercial operations on United Express.  Passengers should plan to arrive at the airport 90 minutes prior to their departure. If you plan to fly to or from PRC that day, go to United.com for updates and flight status.

-Antelope Hills Golf Course will cancel all tee times on Monday, October 19 scheduled before 3 p.m.   Contact the golf course to reschedule.  928-776-7888.

-NO overnight camping will be allowed in the airport area.

Special Note:  All US Forest Service Air Tanker Base operations will continue at PRC, in support of the Horse Fire.
