Residential Structure Fire, 1000 Block Leslie St. in Prescott

On September 23, at 5:30 PM, Prescott Regional Communication Center received several 911 calls reporting a structure fire in the 1000 block of Leslie Street in Prescott. When crews arrived on scene, they found heavy fire and smoke conditions coming from the rear of the structure.

Crews found heavy involvement to both the exterior and interior of the house with extension into the attic.

 

A total of 5 engines were utilized on scene including 3 fire engines and 1 truck company from Prescott Fire Department and 1 engine from Central Arizona Fire and Medical. Other resources dispatched were a Battalion Chief, Prescott Fire Dept’s utility truck, 2 Lifeline Ambulances, and Prescott Police Dept.  The 2 occupants of the house were able to escape and were treated for minor injuries on the scene by  Lifeline ambulance. They did not require transport to the hospital.

It took crews approximately 1 hour to gain control of the fire and they remained on scene until 10 pm to finish extinguishing the remaining hotspots.  The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
