Two-week daytime lane closures on State Route 89 south of Prescott beginning July 21

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for two weeks of daily alternating lane closures and delays of approximately 30 minutes on north- and southbound State Route 89 between Ponderosa Park Road (milepost 308) and Walden Boulevard (milepost 294) while crews complete striping work.

The work is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, through Friday, July 31.  No weekend work is scheduled.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following restrictions are in place:

  • SR 89 will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel.
  • Flaggers and a pilot car will stop and direct drivers through the work zone.
  • An 11-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
