About Us

Here at Prescott eNews, we think there's a lot going on in the Prescott quad-city area. And, yes, we know that bad news happens, but we also know that a lot more good news happens. So, we intend to tell lots of good news, while not ignoring the bad news.

Although there are some online news sites for the Prescott area, there aren't many that seem to take advantage of the medium of the internet. Here at Prescott eNews, we know the difference between putting a book or a newspaper online, and using the Internet to its full potential. And we think it's time that a quality news website makes its home in Prescott, Arizona.

How Old Are You?

Ssshhhh...! Don't tell anyone, but we launched our beta site in June, 2007. So, yeah, we're the new kid on the block. Well, at least for this particular site. But, our staff has been designing websites for nearly 10 years, and are also accomplished Photoshop digital artists, writers, photographers and design instructors. What all that means is that just because this particular site is new, it doesn't mean that we don't know what we're doing.

He may look like the nice, friendly, upstanding kid next door - and actually, he is - unless you're his opponent on the wrestling mat. Then you discover that he can be fierce and determined and unstoppable. Daniel Brutinel, a senior at Prescott High School, was ranked 1st this season in Arizona for his weight class, and tonight, he has once again proven that he deserves such an honor.

The Badgers wrestling team went to their Regional Meet this weekend. The team came back loaded with medals and trophies, as it took first overall in the tournament. Ten wrestlers will be going to the State Championships next weekend.

Brutinel, who took first place in his weight class, was asked about how he felt about his achievement, "I'm very happy," he replied, and then expanded his thoughts a bit with a grin. "I'm extremely happy!"

In addition to Brutinel's outstanding effort, Max Payne (152) and James Lain (171) also took first place. Braden Hicks (119), Colton Green (130), Johnny Pareja (135), JT Markham (145) and Jake Jarvis (189) each took second place. Josh Rygiel (103), and Matt LaMaster (160) placed third.

Congrats to the team! Whether you're going to state or not...all these young men try so hard...heart and soul...and are role models for youth and adults alike! In addition, these youth show great respect to each other and passion for the entire team effort. I will be there watching Daniel and his team-mates. Go Badgers!
