About Us

Here at Prescott eNews, we think there's a lot going on in the Prescott quad-city area. And, yes, we know that bad news happens, but we also know that a lot more good news happens. So, we intend to tell lots of good news, while not ignoring the bad news.

Although there are some online news sites for the Prescott area, there aren't many that seem to take advantage of the medium of the internet. Here at Prescott eNews, we know the difference between putting a book or a newspaper online, and using the Internet to its full potential. And we think it's time that a quality news website makes its home in Prescott, Arizona.

How Old Are You?

Ssshhhh...! Don't tell anyone, but we launched our beta site in June, 2007. So, yeah, we're the new kid on the block. Well, at least for this particular site. But, our staff has been designing websites for nearly 10 years, and are also accomplished Photoshop digital artists, writers, photographers and design instructors. What all that means is that just because this particular site is new, it doesn't mean that we don't know what we're doing.

Seligman Stop Results In Forgery Arrest PDF Print E-mail
Written by Press Release
Tuesday, 11 September 2007
forgery.jpgOn Saturday, September 8, at approximately 3:30 PM, a Yavapai County Sheriff's Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on the west business loop of I-40 in Seligman. The driver of the vehicle, 31-year-old Juan Diego Serrano-Valle of Las Vegas was found to be in possession of several fake ID's: Mexican Driver's License, Consular ID from Georgia, Consular ID from Nevada, and a Mexican Voter's Registration card. Under the driver's floor mat YCSO found a fake Social Security Card and Permanent Resident card.

In Serrano's wallet YCSO found a debit card in the name of Reynaldo Guerrero, who Serrano said was the owner of the vehicle he was driving. A Criminal History check showed that FBI numbers on both names indicated they were one in the same person and that Serrano had a history of drug involvement.

Serrano's vehicle was searched by two YCSO K-9's, Aros and Elliot, and both dogs alerted to drug scents on the car but a search of the vehicle produced no illegal substances.

Serrano was arrested and charged with Forgery. He will be held with no bond under Proposition 100.
