About Us

Here at Prescott eNews, we think there's a lot going on in the Prescott quad-city area. And, yes, we know that bad news happens, but we also know that a lot more good news happens. So, we intend to tell lots of good news, while not ignoring the bad news.

Although there are some online news sites for the Prescott area, there aren't many that seem to take advantage of the medium of the internet. Here at Prescott eNews, we know the difference between putting a book or a newspaper online, and using the Internet to its full potential. And we think it's time that a quality news website makes its home in Prescott, Arizona.

How Old Are You?

Ssshhhh...! Don't tell anyone, but we launched our beta site in June, 2007. So, yeah, we're the new kid on the block. Well, at least for this particular site. But, our staff has been designing websites for nearly 10 years, and are also accomplished Photoshop digital artists, writers, photographers and design instructors. What all that means is that just because this particular site is new, it doesn't mean that we don't know what we're doing.

Please use the contact form to send all comments and suggestions. We look forward to hearing from you.

Level 2 Sex Offender Notification - SHOUSE PDF Print E-mail
Written by Lynne LaMaster
Thursday, 20 September 2007

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is required to release the following information pursuant to ARS 13-3825, the Community Notification on Sex Offenders Law. The offender in this publication has indicated that he will be living in the unincorporated area of Yavapai County. It is the responsibility of the Chief Law Enforcement Office having jurisdiction where the offender resides to make notification to the community. Notification must be made when certain sex offenders are released from Arizona State Prison, accepted under an interstate compact or released from the county jail back into the community. Offenders are categorized into three levels: Level One (low risk to the community), Level Two (intermediate risk to the community) and Level Three (high risk to the community)

The individual who appears on this notification, 24-year-old Zachary Ryan Shouse, has been convicted of a sex offense, which allows for community notification.  This sex offender has advised the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office that he will be living at 2159 S. Cayuse Trail in Cottonwood, AZ 86326. This individual is not wanted by Yavapai County Sheriff's Office at this time.

Offender Shouse was convicted of Sexual Conduct with a Minor in 2002 in Maricopa County, Arizona, after he had sexual contact with a 16-year-old female who was known to him. In 2005 Shouse violated his parole and served time in the Department of Corrections. Shouse is not on probation at this time. Shouse is considered to be a Level 2 (intermediate) risk to the community.

This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed community is a safer community. CITIZEN ABUSES OF THIS INFORMATION TO THREATEN, INTIMIDATE OR HARASS SEX OFFENDERS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

The YCSO Crime Prevention Unit may be reached at (928) 771-3260 and is available to help you join or start a neighborhood watch program as well as provide you with useful information on personal safety. If you have information regarding current criminal activity on this or any other offender, please call Yavapai Silent Witness at (800) 932-3232.
