Here at Prescott eNews, we know the difference between putting a book or a newspaper online, and using the Internet to its full potential. And we think it's time that a quality news website makes its home in Prescott, Arizona.

How Old Are You?

Ssshhhh...! Don't tell anyone, but we launched our beta site in June, 2007. So, yeah, we're the new kid on the block. Well, at least for this particular site. But, our staff has been designing websites for nearly 10 years, and are also accomplished Photoshop digital artists, writers, photographers and design instructors. What all that means is that just because this particular site is new, it doesn't mean that we don't know what we're doing.

On September 9, 2007, Prescott Police arrested three 17- year-old males in connection with a vehicle burglary at Gateway Mall.

Prescott Police Officers responded to the mall after a 19-year-old woman reported her jeep had been burglarized while she was working there.  Police discovered that the suspect or suspects had forced entry into the victim’s jeep and stole over $500.00 worth of property.

At approximately 10:00 PM on September 9, 2007, Prescott Police Dispatch received a telephone call from a man who was following three men who just attempted to burglarize a vehicle in the Downtown Prescott area.  The man described the suspect vehicle to the police dispatcher along with the suspect’s current location.  Officers responded and located the suspect vehicle.

They contacted the suspects and searched their vehicle.  They found several items inside the vehicle, which belonged to the victim from the Gateway Mall burglary.  Police also found several false identification cards and three car stereos possibly from other vehicle burglaries.  Police will continue to investigate.

Ruben Loya, Fernando Aceves and Ricardo Vargas Covarrubias were all charged with Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools and Theft.  Covarrubias was also charged with Possession of a Forged Instrument and Possession of Stolen Property.  They were all booked into Yavapai County Juvenile Detention.
