The Prescott Valley Town Council meets at 5:30 tonight to discuss a project that would restore the Civic Center elevators. According to Public Works Operations Manager Alex Romero, the elevators haven’t had any enhancements since 1999. Panels and flooring have endured years of usage and are ready for restoration. Town staff had requested written quotes for this work back in November. Only one quote was received. Staff next conducted a formal bid process that resulted in no bids submitted for this service. As a result, it has been requested services be awarded to the only company that responded to the initial request, the Chandler based Tomar Elevator Components in the amount of more than 26 thousand dollars. The Prescott Valley Town Council meeting will be held in the Library Auditorium on Civic Circle.
