Glassford Hill Acreage is largest Open Space Purchase in Prescott Valley

In cooperation with Yavapai County and the City of Prescott 2,284 acres of Glassford Hill will be purchased. This will be a tremendous opportunity for the Town of Prescott Valley to add additional hiking and biking trails along with other possibilities. The thought of having a Visitor/Heritage Center at the base along with Demonstration/ Interpretative Gardens for education purposes is exciting.

Did you know that over 90 percent of residents have never gone to the top of Glassford Hill????

Whatever ultimately is done with the land residents can rest assure that by purchasing this amount of Open Space, developers will not be able to put homes on it.

Don’t believe those naysayers who have nothing positive to say about Prescott Valley and want you to believe that Prescott Valley is looking to put a 24 hour Las Vegas/Disneyland resort all over Glassford Hill that is furthest from the truth. We want residents of all ages to enjoy the great outdoors and hope to be able to provide something for everyone to be proud of.

  1. Won’t be long now that they start building home after home, subdivision after subdivision, and destroy the now untouched beautiful acreage. Yes, Prescott Valley is turning out just like Prescott, over crowding, congestion on the roads, nothing but miles of cement and buildings. So sad to see what has happened to Prescott and even more unhappy to see it now happening to Prescott Valley. Goodbye to our once was a nice place to live.

    1. Glassford Hill is in Prescott Valley. Glassford Hill Road runs near the base of the hill.
