PRESCOTT- Kids, adults and even animals showed up by the thousands on Saturday, July 1st, to attend the annual Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo Parade.

In honor of the 130th birthday of the World’s Oldest Rodeo, the theme of the both parade and rodeo was “Legends Live Among Us” as Grand Marshal is three-time World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider Monty “Hawkeye” Henson.

“I’ve done a lot of parades over the years with rodeo and stuff like that,” Henson said. “The parade is so good here. Might be seven, eight thousand (people) it was packed.”

“Parades don’t work everywhere like that,” Henson continued.

One hundred and forty-nine entries were on display including floats, classic cars and bands. As usual, each were vying for the coveted yearly prizes chosen by the judges.
