“Walk with Me, Be Drug Free” Event – April 29 at Yavapai College

The Yavapai College Police Department in partnership with MATFORCE is hosting a “Walk with Me, Be Drug Free” family fun walk. The event will take place Saturday, April 29th at 10 a.m. at Yavapai College, 1100 E. Sheldon Street in Prescott.  The event is free and everyone is invited to attend.  

There will be fun activities for people of all ages.  The walk is 1.5 miles on a family friendly trail.  The event will include music, children’s activities and A Pokémon Go Spawn.

“This is an opportunity for individuals and families to come out and enjoy a day of activity and fun while celebrating the fact that we are drug free” says Detective James Tobin, Yavapai College Police Department. 

Stand with Me, Be Drug Free ® is a community campaign that celebrates the fact that a majority of people in Yavapai County do not abuse drugs and alcohol.  According to the  2016 Arizona Youth Survey, 77.6% of youth do not use alcohol and 85.8% of youth do not abuse drugs
