Great News as List of Venues Continue to Grow at the PVEC

Starting Monday, March 27, 2017, Spectra Venue Management will kick off its management-consulting agreement with the Prescott Valley Events Center. Spectra, based in Philadelphia, PA, is a national venue management organization specializing in managing and executing events, with an impressive client list of major venues across the United States. Their current venues include a range of sports facilities, convention centers, performing arts centers, state fairs, and much more.

This is more great news for the Prescott Valley Events Center (PVEC). The addition of a professional event management firm to the PVEC comes on the heels of the acquisition of the NBA d-League team, the Northern Arizona Suns (NAZ Suns), the RAM Turquoise Circuit Pro Rodeo, as well as a bevy of other events that have been added on since the Fain Signature Group took over temporary management since the PVEC went under reorganization. Spectra brings both a wealth of expertise and talent to event management, operations, marketing, sales and fan engagement in addition to a national pipeline of shows, sporting events and entertainment venues.

Scott Norton has been named General Manager of the PVEC as a Spectra employee. "I am extremely excited to become the General Manager of the Prescott Valley Event Center and work with the existing staff to enhance the performance of the venue. Between the the national presence that Spectra Venue Management maintains, and the local and regional relationships I have developed in my 12 years at University of Phoenix Stadium, I am confident we can bring additional entertainment content to the facility and assist in the success of the Suns and other PVEC event producers,” says Norton.

Scott Norton, General Manager of the Prescott Valley Event Center

Norton has an impressive depth of experience in event production and management. He has spent the last 12 years as Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Phoenix Stadium, a 64,000 seat NFL stadium and multi-purpose event complex in Glendale, AZ. His experience also includes work in helping to secure the 2017 NCAA Final Four, the 2016 Copa America Centenario soccer tournament, WWE’s WrestleMania, CONCACAF Gold Cups, and college football playoff games. He also possesses extensive experience in working with NFL, NHL, and minor league sports franchises. Norton, is also a big hockey fan, something our region will be pleased to hear.

"We could not be more pleased with Scott and Spectra joining the events center management team. As we have navigated the Chapter 11 process over the past 26 months we have more than doubled the event bookings including securing the Northern AZ Suns and the Ram Turquois Rodeo Finals. Now it’s time to take the building to the next level of success. We believe that our existing team combined with Spectra’s leadership will bring the building even more success. I personally look forward to working with Scott in this transition in building a great community asset in the Prescott Valley Events Center,” says Brad Fain of the Fain Signature Group.
