Saturday, September 3, Chino Valley is the Place to Be!

It starts at 6AM with a Lions Pancake Breakfast at the Chino Valley Senior Center.

Then, head to the Chino Valley Parade route. The parade starts at 9:15 AM, with a theme of, “Chino Valley Remember When…” It’s a real hometown parade - they’ve been known to have cornstalks and even live chickens on the floats!

You’ll want to be back in Chino Valley sometime between 3-7 for the Future Farmers of America (FFA) 66th Annual Corn Dinner. According to Rosalee Darby, this event raises nearly all the money needed for the local FFA chapter.

Don’t go simply to help out, though, go because the dinner is great! Besides all-you-can-eat corn, you’ll bet BBQ meat, beans a roll and a drink. Tack on a little extra for a piece of pie, provided by the Family, Career and Community leaders of America (FCCLA) club.

You also might get the chance to see your favorite politician - because at this dinner, the local politicians are literally serving you!
