Embry Riddle (ERAU) (321)

Not much hope for a white Christmas this year.

It appears that snow is definitely on the way.

Will the weather be nice for Acker Night?

This week's weather is expected to remain dry and warmer than normal.

Temps to drop by as much as 20ºF

A large trough of low pressure will move across the Great Basin this weekend, with the southern portion of the trough moving across Arizona on Saturday. Strong southwesterly winds will develop ahead of the trough, especially on Friday as winds gusts up to 40 mph or more. After the passage of the cold front on Friday afternoon-evening, expect temperatures to plummet. Saturday's high temperature will be 20-25 degrees cooler than today's. Time to get out the winter wardrobe!

Expect isolated light rain showers on Friday – Saturday, possibly changing over to light snow flurries on Saturday afternoon – evening. Little accumulation is expected. Expect a hard freeze on Sunday and Monday morning, with lows in the mid 20s.

Another storm is possible by the middle of next week.
