About Us

Here at Prescott eNews, we think there's a lot going on in the Prescott quad-city area. And, yes, we know that bad news happens, but we also know that a lot more good news happens. So, we intend to tell lots of good news, while not ignoring the bad news.

Although there are some online news sites for the Prescott area, there aren't many that seem to take advantage of the medium of the internet. Here at Prescott eNews, we know the difference between putting a book or a newspaper online, and using the Internet to its full potential. And we think it's time that a quality news website makes its home in Prescott, Arizona.

How Old Are You?

Ssshhhh...! Don't tell anyone, but we launched our beta site in June, 2007. So, yeah, we're the new kid on the block. Well, at least for this particular site. But, our staff has been designing websites for nearly 10 years, and are also accomplished Photoshop digital artists, writers, photographers and design instructors. What all that means is that just because this particular site is new, it doesn't mean that we don't know what we're doing.

Please use the contact form to send all comments and suggestions. We look forward to hearing from you.

The Citizens Water Advocacy Group (CWAG) will present a weekend of facts about Prescott’s water supply on March 8 and 9. On Saturday, March 8 retired Prescott National Forest Supervisor Michael King will present “Pumps, Pipes and People: A History of Prescott’s Waterworks” at the CWAG monthly meeting from 10 am to noon at the Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 882 Sunset in Prescott (two blocks behind True Value).

Where did early Prescott get its water and why? King’s presentation highlights Prescott’s waterworks operation from 1864 to today with emphasis on the first 100 years. He will provide an overview of information gleaned from the archives of the Sharlot Hall Museum, City records, local libraries and personal interviews. He will focus on the source and water production facilities rather than water use, water policy and water law.

On Sunday, March 9 a panel of CWAG members will conduct an educational briefing for the public entitled “Water 101: The Facts About Our Water Supply.” This program is sponsored by the Northern Arizona Interfaith Council and will take place at 3 pm in Agape Hall at the Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley. NAIC has asked CWAG to focus on “the true state of affairs regarding how much water we have, how we can use it responsibly, and how to ensure its quality and adequacy for future generations,” so that citizens can “ensure that wise public policy is made to protect our water resources and ensure the equitable distribution of those resources.”

Guests are welcome at both presentations! For more info, call 445-4218, email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or visit the CWAGAZ website.
