About Us

Here at Prescott eNews, we think there's a lot going on in the Prescott quad-city area. And, yes, we know that bad news happens, but we also know that a lot more good news happens. So, we intend to tell lots of good news, while not ignoring the bad news.

Although there are some online news sites for the Prescott area, there aren't many that seem to take advantage of the medium of the internet. Here at Prescott eNews, we know the difference between putting a book or a newspaper online, and using the Internet to its full potential. And we think it's time that a quality news website makes its home in Prescott, Arizona.

How Old Are You?

Ssshhhh...! Don't tell anyone, but we launched our beta site in June, 2007. So, yeah, we're the new kid on the block. Well, at least for this particular site. But, our staff has been designing websites for nearly 10 years, and are also accomplished Photoshop digital artists, writers, photographers and design instructors. What all that means is that just because this particular site is new, it doesn't mean that we don't know what we're doing.

Most high school students live for their lunch hours. They are hungry, ready for a break and - probably most important - want to socialize with their peers. But for the past several weeks several Prescott High School (PHS) students have set aside their social lives for a good cause.

These students decided to work through their lunch hours to raise money for local cancer patient Ryan Hadley. Ryan’s story ran on Prescott eNews and when PHS teacher Cathy Davis saw the article she thought this was a good cause to rally her students around.

Every lunch hour the students have been selling big beautiful stuffed reindeer for the bargain price of $8.00. One student, Mitchell Prince, is so devoted to the cause he carries one of the 2 foot high reindeer around with him at all times, selling as he goes, and bringing awareness to the fundraiser. Davis says that student Travis Crysler took on a real leadership role and helped motivate the rest of the class. So far the students have raised $194.20, which will go directly to the account that’s been set up in Ryan’s name. If anyone would like to purchase a reindeer they can contact Davis via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Davis says the most important thing the students have gotten from the process is a renewed sense of gratitude for that they have, and a real desire to give to someone else.
