About Us

Here at Prescott eNews, we think there's a lot going on in the Prescott quad-city area. And, yes, we know that bad news happens, but we also know that a lot more good news happens. So, we intend to tell lots of good news, while not ignoring the bad news.

Although there are some online news sites for the Prescott area, there aren't many that seem to take advantage of the medium of the internet. Here at Prescott eNews, we know the difference between putting a book or a newspaper online, and using the Internet to its full potential. And we think it's time that a quality news website makes its home in Prescott, Arizona.

How Old Are You?

Ssshhhh...! Don't tell anyone, but we launched our beta site in June, 2007. So, yeah, we're the new kid on the block. Well, at least for this particular site. But, our staff has been designing websites for nearly 10 years, and are also accomplished Photoshop digital artists, writers, photographers and design instructors. What all that means is that just because this particular site is new, it doesn't mean that we don't know what we're doing.

Please use the contact form to send all comments and suggestions. We look forward to hearing from you.

Chino Valley Celebrates Christmas PDF Print E-mail
Written by Judy Thomson

cvchristmas2.jpgSmall town life at it's very best!  The Chino Valley High School West Gym was transformed into a glorious winter wonderland on Friday and Saturday nights by a combined effort of the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce and Eric Woods from The Summit Church - along with many other dedicated individuals and committed sponsors.

This first annual Chino Valley Hometown Christmas was joyously attended by capacity crowds of parents and kiddies, all of whom had that special holiday sparkle in their eyes!

The spectacle to which they flocked was filled with breathtakingly beautiful, decorated trees of amazing variety and creativity which lined a wandering path. Even the path's hand-made boundaries deserve mention here - the kind of labor of love with which small towns are so blessed.

Commercial, personal and non-profit trees and little villages shared space with lovingly wrapped packages to create the perfect setting for the musical and theatrical presentations gracing the stage. Performances by several local schools' music and theatre departments and the local performing academy greatly added to the merriment.  Refreshments were also served.

Woods and Linda McFarland of the Chamber seemed to be everywhere at once. But, don't worry if you missed the occasion; they promised that we can look forward next year to this priceless season starter.
